TACDEVRON-1 is an intelligence-focused special operations unit conducting a wide range of Advance Force operations. Our core mission set includes reconnaissance, surveillance, and preparations of the environment, and we are capable of operating in clandestine, covert, or overt capacities as the situation demands. While intelligence collection and force preparation are our primary focus, we are also fully capable of conducting our own Direct Action operations when the mission requires it. As an Arma Reforger realism community, we pair this operational focus with structured character progression, immersive operations, and a flexible environment that fits around real life. Members can participate when their schedule allows, develop their character and qualifications, and contribute to an evolving campaign environment.
Our campaigns run on 24/7 persistent servers, so members can deploy and participate whenever their schedule permits rather than needing everyone online at a single set time. The operational server provides a continuously accessible environment where members can conduct missions, gather intelligence, prepare the battlespace, support ongoing objectives, and play alongside other members whenever they are available. Because our focus is intelligence, we also work closely with other units to provide them with dedicated intelligence support — sharing picture, target, and situational awareness packages, and enabling partnered units to operate with better information. Where useful, roleplayers are used to portray OPFOR, civilians, resistance personnel, and other characters, creating a more dynamic environment than traditional AI-driven gameplay. Operations and player activity are documented through after-action reports and the unit's service record, allowing individual actions and accomplishments to contribute to awards, qualifications, and progression.
Training is also available through a 24/7 dedicated training server, giving members the ability to practice and complete qualifications around their own schedules. Rather than requiring everyone to attend a single scheduled training event, members can access training environments whenever they have time, while instructors can conduct and validate qualifications as needed. The unit portal handles course requests, enrollment, completion tracking, qualifications, and member records. Completed qualifications are reflected on the member's profile and ORBAT, creating a persistent record of each member's development within the unit.
Our development team builds and maintains the custom systems, assets, mods, missions, and frameworks that support the TACDEVRON-1 experience. Development ranges from gameplay and mission systems to custom equipment, campaign functionality, administrative tools, and integrations between the Reforger servers and our unit website. The goal is to continuously expand the environment while keeping the experience cohesive, functional, and immersive for the community.
